Celebrate the 100th anniversary of the most famous tango “La Cumparsita” with a full evening of tango music new and old.  Coming to the Raritan River Music Festival direct from Buenos Aires, the Adam Tully Trio draws on the tradition of Argentine tango guitar soloists; the style developed in Buenos Aires in the early 20th century as an accompaniment for singers, taking a parallel path to the instrumental orquestas típicas.  The trio’s repertoire includes original compositions, original arrangements of standard tango repertoire, and adaptations from the tango art music repertory.
